IRGC spokesperson defines negotiations as another battlefield

Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has characterized negotiations as “another scene of battle” rather than a move toward peace or compromise. He stated that the IRGC is prepared for a long-term conflict, though he suggested the enemy lacks the capacity for a new war.

Mohebbi outlined three strategic approaches regarding conflict: total war, total negotiation, or a combination of both based on national interests. He emphasized that the IRGC maintains 100% combat readiness while remaining open to diplomacy if it serves the nation's interests, noting that diplomatic efforts are essentially a battle of words and reasoning.

Regarding regional influence, Mohebbi highlighted the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a lever used to deter enemies and impose Iranian will. He argued that the United States, despite its naval dominance, has become a source of energy insecurity rather than a guarantor of freedom of navigation.
