Țiriac Auto wins contract to supply electric vehicles to SRI

Țiriac Auto, part of the group owned by businessman Ion Țiriac, has secured a contract with the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) to supply 100 electric vehicles. The contract is valued at 17.05 million lei (approximately 3.1 to 3.4 million euros) excluding VAT.

The acquisition is part of the ‘eFLOT’ project, which aims to modernize the SRI fleet by transitioning to zero-emission mobility. According to the SRI specifications, the new electric vehicles are intended to increase the efficiency and operational capacity of the agency's specific transport missions.

Țiriac Auto won the tender against other participants, including Renault Commercial Roumanie, Auto Novex, and Porsche Romania. The contract includes specific technical requirements, such as a minimum four-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty for each vehicle, and an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty for the traction battery, which must maintain at least 70% charging capacity.
