Ćirilicom Festival promotes Metropolitan Joanikije’s book
The tenth anniversary of the ‘Ćirilicom’ festival featured the promotion of Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral’s book, ‘Duh diše gdje hoće’ (The Spirit Breathes Where It Wills). Published by ‘Obodsko slovo’ from Podgorica and ‘Štampar Makarije’ from Belgrade, the volume collects nearly forty texts, including sermons, essays, and studies covering theology, philosophy, and literature. The work places significant emphasis on the legacy of Njegoš and the spiritual history of the region.
During the book promotion, speakers included Archpriest Aleksandar Lekić, Prof. Dr. Siniša Jelušić, Prof. Dr. Dušan Krcunović, and festival director Radomir Uljarević. Metropolitan Joanikije noted his sense of responsibility toward the spiritual and cultural heritage left by his predecessors.
The festival concludes with the presentation of the ‘Sveti Stefan Štiljanović’ award to academic Dušan Kovačević, recognized for his contributions to literature, drama, and film. The award ceremony will include a literary evening focused on Kovačević’s work, moderated by Gojko Božović.
