Schlager singer Ben Zucker credits Florian Silbereisen for career breakthrough

German schlager artist Ben Zucker, 43, said he would likely have remained in debt without the help of TV host Florian Silbereisen. In his twenties Zucker worked as a dishwasher and accumulated significant debts, describing his situation as “living beyond my means.” A 2017 appearance on Silbereisen’s “Schlagercountdown” TV show provided the breakthrough that allowed him to clear his debts and launch a successful music career. Today he performs before large audiences, has around 190,000 Instagram followers and continues a close friendship with Silbereisen, whom he calls his “lifesaver.”
