Iris Abravanel joins Forbes Brazil billionaires list with R$ 3.4 billion

Iris Abravanel, the widow of presenter Silvio Santos, has been included in the 2026 Forbes Brazil billionaires list. At 78 years old, the writer and entrepreneur holds an estimated net worth of R$ 3.4 billion.

Abravanel ranks 63rd in the overall Brazilian ranking and 5th among billionaires in the communications sector. Her fortune stems from the inheritance left by Silvio Santos following his death in August 2024, and includes interests in retail, hospitality, cosmetics, and the Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT).

The 2026 ranking identifies 255 billionaires in Brazil. Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook, remains the wealthiest individual in the country with R$ 162.9 billion. Other notable shifts in the top 10 include Max Telles of AB InBev, who moved to 7th place, and Ricardo Faria of Granja Faria, who rose to 10th.
