Iris Rabaya Au sentenced to 18 months for concealing $2.6M in income

Iris Rabaya Au, 37, of Irvine, California, has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for filing a false tax return. Au pleaded guilty in March 2025 to concealing more than $2.6 million in income transferred to her personal bank accounts between 2020 and 2023.

Prosecutors stated that Au established the financial infrastructure used by her former boyfriend, Adam Iza, to move and conceal millions of dollars in fraud proceeds. At Iza's direction, Au created shell corporations and opened bank accounts to facilitate various transactions. These funds were used to pay approximately $1 million to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies, finance nearly $10 million in recreational spending, and fund roughly $16 million in cryptocurrency purchases for Iza.

In addition to her prison sentence, U.S. District Judge Percy Anderson ordered Au to pay $1,484,343 in restitution. The court also ordered the forfeiture of luxury assets, including high-performance vehicles, designer handbags, and three sculptures.

Adam Iza, who referred to himself as ‘The Godfather,’ is currently serving a 15-year sentence for his involvement in an attempted Bitcoin robbery and kidnapping in Connecticut.
