Irish courts schedule sentencing for post office robbery and advance vehicle theft case

Three men from County Clare – Michael McMahon, Darren Cassidy and Daragh Pender – pleaded guilty to robbing the Carrigaholt post office of €8,944 on Jan 21. Ennis Circuit Court judge Francis Comerford set Nov 10 for their sentencing hearing.

In Donegal, a district court judge, Brendan O’Reilly, ordered Gardaí to file the case of four men – Sean Farrell, Eric Farrell, Michael Ward and Keith Brady – with the Director of Public Prosecutions by Aug 19. The defendants face charges for the unlawful taking of a Mitsubishi L200 pickup, possession of stolen registration plates, a cordless drill, and related offences linked to a Jan 4 vehicle theft.
