Irish runners Mark English and Sarah Healy set personal bests at London Diamond League
Mark English broke the 1:43 barrier for the first time, clocking 1:42.97 to finish second in the 800 m at the London Diamond League, establishing new Ulster and Donegal records. He was ahead of USA's Brandon Miller, who also set a personal best.
Sarah Healy recorded a personal best of 8:25.63 in the 3,000 m, finishing third in a strong international field that included Australia's Jessica Hull and Britain's Rose Davies. Both athletes highlighted the performances as key preparation for the upcoming European Athletics Championships in Birmingham.
The same meet also saw Josh Kerr of Great Britain break the mile world record with a 3:42.66 run, underscoring the high‑level competition at the event.
