Irish schools celebrate successful Leaving Certificate results

Students across Ireland are celebrating their Leaving Certificate results, with Mulroy College and Scoil Chríost Rí reporting highly successful outcomes for the Class of 2026.

At Mulroy College, Principal Fiona Temple noted that the results represent one of the most successful years in the school’s history. Students achieved scores exceeding 600 points in the Established Leaving Certificate, while others earned distinctions in the Leaving Certificate Applied programme.

Scoil Chríost Rí in Portlaoise also reported strong performances. One in five students achieved 500 CAO points or more, and half of the Leaving Certificate students reached the 400-point mark. Tilly O’Donnell recorded the school’s highest result with 556 points. Additionally, student Leah Byrne achieved a historic milestone by becoming one of the first in the country to receive a State-Certified Leaving Certificate Level 2, facilitating her progression to the National Learning Network.
