Irish tourist allegedly targets Jewish couple with antisemitic threats in France

An encounter between an Irish tourist and an Australian Jewish couple in a French supermarket escalated into an alleged antisemitic confrontation. The incident, which was recorded by Karen Ivers and shared on X, has gained significant traction online, amassing nearly one million views.

According to the victims, the interaction began cordially when the man, identifying himself as ‘Paddy from Ireland,’ approached them after noticing the husband wearing a French national football team shirt. The conversation shifted toward politics when Ivers expressed objections to the political climate in Ireland regarding Israel.

Following this exchange, the man allegedly stated that he was sorry Hitler had not ‘finished the job’ and told the couple to ‘go back’ to their home, stating they were in Europe. The confrontation reportedly turned violent in tone, with the man making explicit death threats, including telling the couple, ‘I’m going to put a bullet in your head.’
