Irish woman Caoimhe Jennings given months to live after illness diagnosed on Thailand holiday
Caoimhe Jennings, a 28‑year‑old tax specialist from Derry, Ireland, was on a dream holiday in Thailand with her now‑husband Ollie to celebrate his 30th birthday when she began experiencing severe symptoms. She reported intense paranoia, hallucinations of giant lizards, sudden loss of bladder control, swelling of her face and feet, double vision and other alarming signs. Despite initially attributing the problems to stress and a bout of dry eyes, doctors later identified a serious underlying condition and told her she has only months to live.
Jennings had recently secured a new job that would have allowed her to return to Ireland after living in Liverpool. The diagnosis has abruptly ended the couple’s plans for a future together, leaving her family and friends in shock.
