iRobot and Dreame announce new developments in robot vacuum technology
The robot vacuum market sees new developments from major manufacturers. iRobot has introduced the Roomba Mini, a compact model measuring 24.5 cm in diameter and 9.2 cm in height. Originally designed for small Japanese apartments, the device is set for a European release in March 2026. It features LiDAR navigation, a Carpet Boost function, and an AutoEmpty base that can hold up to 90 days of debris. While it includes a mopping function, it utilizes a manual disposable wipe system rather than a motorized mop or water tank.
Meanwhile, Dreame is offering a significant discount on its L40s Pro Ultra model. This high-end unit features a 19,000 Pa suction motor and DuoBrush HyperStream technology designed to prevent hair entanglement. The device includes an advanced station capable of washing mop pads with 75°C hot water and drying them with warm air. It also features an extendable mop to reach edges and walls, alongside automated emptying capabilities for up to 100 days.
