Iroha Okuda promotes musical ‘The Secret Garden’
Iroha Okuda, a member of the idol group Nogizaka46, attended a press conference in Tokyo for the production of the musical ‘The Secret Garden’. The production, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, is scheduled to run from October 17 to November 1 at the Yomiuri Otemachi Hall. The story focuses on the growth of children within an orphanage.
During the event, Okuda expressed her desire for all Nogizaka46 members to attend the performance, noting that the stage allows performers to show different sides of their personalities. She specifically highlighted her peer Mao Ioki, describing her as a source of support and healing during difficult rehearsal periods.
Okuda also shared a personal anecdote regarding former Nogizaka46 captain Minami Umezawa, who gifted her a ‘Calla’ flower. Umezawa noted that the flower's meanings of ‘grace’ and ‘passion’ represent the dual nature of Okuda’s personality.
