Široki Brijeg and Sremska Mitrovica councils approve budget measures

The Široki Brijeg City Council met in the newly renovated council chamber, chaired by council president Vilson Crnjac. Delegates unanimously approved a profit‑distribution plan for the public utility JP Vodovod i kanalizacija, allocating 34,897 KM for 2025, and awarded Golden Plaques to local institutions. Additional resolutions covered the sale of land in the Knešpolje business zone, the appointment of a public‑tender committee, and various property‑ownership matters.

In Sremska Mitrovica, the city assembly held its 17th session and approved a 46.9 million‑dinars program to support agricultural policy and rural development for 2026. The bulk of the funding—45.3 million dinars—targets rural infrastructure, risk management, and crop protection, including the procurement of anti‑hail rockets. Smaller allocations address land fertility monitoring, support for farmer associations, equipment inspections, and environmental protection measures.
