Široki Brijeg hosts youth art exhibition and klapa music meeting

Široki Brijeg hosted several cultural events as part of the ‘Briješka zvona’ manifestation. In the Park of Široki Brijeg Veterans, an exhibition showcased the results of the ‘Summer of Creative Creation’ program. Organized by Artist Studio, the workshops involved 52 children who produced 15 canvas paintings, 10 jersey designs, 15 plaster sculptures, and 12 plaster reliefs.

The exhibition was followed by a musical performance by the MP3 Acoustic Trio. Academic painter Katarina Sesar, who led the workshops, noted that the sessions provided children with space for free expression and creativity.

Additionally, the town held the 1st Klapa Meeting titled ‘Volim te, grade moj’. Organized by the Široki Brijeg Tourist Board, the event featured performances by several groups, including the female klapa Rozeta and the male klapas Dobrkovići, Brig, and sv. Mihovil. The gathering aimed to promote and preserve the klapa singing tradition in the Herzegovina region.
