Iron Maiden continues global tour while dismissing major music awards

Iron Maiden is currently performing their ‘Run For Your Live Tour’ across North America, South America, East Asia, and Oceania. The band’s setlist focuses on material from their early albums, spanning from their 1980 self-titled debut to 1992’s ‘Fear of the Dark’.

Frontman Bruce Dickinson has dismissed the significance of major industry awards, stating to Classic Rock magazine that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the BRITs, and the Grammys are ‘utterly irrelevant’ to the band. Consequently, the group will not attend the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this November, as the date coincides with their travel schedule between shows in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

In addition to the band's touring schedule, Dickinson has begun planning solo performances.
