Iron Maiden launches North American tour with sold-out Toronto shows

British heavy metal band Iron Maiden has launched the North American leg of their 50th anniversary ‘Run For Your Lives’ world tour with two sold-out performances at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. The shows featured Megadeth as an opening act and included a notable setlist addition, ‘Infinite Dreams’ from the 1988 album ‘Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son’, which had not been performed in Canada since its original release.

During the performances, vocalist Bruce Dickinson addressed recent geopolitical tensions between Canada and the United States. Dickinson commented on the absurdity of a recent executive order by Donald Trump to rename Lake Ontario as ‘Lake America’ following the collapse of trade negotiations and the implementation of a 50 percent tariff on various Canadian goods.
