Nicko McBrain launches autobiography and speaking tour

Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain is embarking on a new professional chapter with the release of his autobiography, ‘Hello Boys and Girls!’, and a dedicated speaking tour across Europe. The tour, titled ‘An Evening With Nicko McBrain’, is scheduled to begin in Frankfurt on October 26, 2026, with subsequent dates in Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

In his memoir, McBrain reflects on his life and career, covering his early years in London, his musical journey through bands like Pat Travers and Trust, and his four-decade tenure with Iron Maiden starting in 1982. The book also addresses personal challenges, including his diagnosis of early-stage larynx cancer and the stroke he suffered in 2023, which led to his retirement from Iron Maiden touring in December 2024.

While McBrain has stepped away from full-scale touring with the band, he remains connected to the group. Iron Maiden has continued its touring activities with drummer Simon Dawson. Additionally, long-time manager Rod Smallwood has emphasized that the band maintains strict secrecy regarding future plans, stating they only announce developments once they are definitive.
