Irpinia hosts summer literary festivals celebrating Italian culture

The fourth edition of the "La notte delle stelle" literary series began in Aquilonia on 7 August and will run until 10 September. Organized by poet Giovanni Famiglietti, the program includes a discussion on Italy’s twentieth‑century history with historians Ferdinando Di Dato and Annibale Cogliano, the launch of Nicola Manna’s historical novel "Lucia", and later presentations by authors Barbara D’Acierno, Emilio D’Andrea and Arturo Scotto, the latter focusing on the situation in Gaza.

In nearby Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi, the Caffè Letterario event took place on 9 August, unveiling the volume "Caro Faber, ti scrivo…" – a collection of letters to singer‑songwriter Fabrizio De André written by students of the Istituto Comprensivo "Giovanni XXIII". The project was coordinated by professor Deborah Fuschetto and introduced by Pro Loco president Tony Lucido, with musical performances and a discussion on the educational value of the initiative.
