Irvine Police Arrest Long Beach Teens in $10,000 Lululemon Theft Ring
The Irvine Police Department’s Crime Impact Unit dismantled an organized retail theft operation that targeted premium Lululemon apparel across Los Angeles and Orange County. Investigators linked two Long Beach residents, 18‑year‑old Alina Liarone Delacruz and 19‑year‑old Kanoa Kaholi, to a flash‑and‑grab scheme that stole more than $10,000 worth of merchandise. After initial arrests in Carson, officers traced the stolen items listed on the resale app OfferUp and set up a sting in Irvine, where the two suspects were captured and charged with grand theft and organized retail theft. Prosecutors may pursue felony charges, which carry potential prison sentences of up to three years, restitution, and fines.
