Isaac del Toro wins 2026 Germany Tour
Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro, riding for UAE Team Emirates, has won the 2026 Germany Tour, becoming the first Latin American to claim the title. Del Toro secured the overall victory by successfully defending his lead through the final stage in Heilbronn.
Del Toro's performance throughout the race included winning the opening prologue and reclaiming the leader's blue jersey during the third stage after a strong attack. In the final 156.5-kilometer stage, he launched a solo attack with approximately 12 kilometers remaining. Although he was caught by the peloton in the final meters, his lead was mathematically insurmountable.
The final stage was won by Frenchman Paul Magnier of Soudal Quick-Step in a sprint finish. Del Toro finished the race in 17 hours, 39 minutes, and 48 seconds, finishing 53 seconds ahead of runner-up Louis Barré and one minute and eight seconds ahead of Marc Hirschi. In addition to the general classification, Del Toro also secured the points and best young rider titles.
