Isaac del Toro to lead UAE Team Emirates in Canadian Classics

Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro has been designated to lead UAE Team Emirates in the upcoming Canadian Classics, including the Grand Prix de Québec and the Grand Prix de Montréal. This leadership role comes in the absence of Tadej Pogacar, who is currently recovering.

The 22-year-old rider, originally from Ensenada, has seen a rapid ascent in professional cycling, recently winning the general classification of the 2026 Vuelta a Alemania and securing third place at the Tour de France. Del Toro is currently under a long-term contract with UAE Team Emirates that extends through the end of 2031.
