Isaac Fayose criticizes Governor Adeleke over APC engagement

Isaac Fayose has criticized Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke for meeting with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the recent governorship election. Fayose questioned the decision to align with the APC, noting that Adeleke, who ran under the Accord Party, had previously alleged that APC supporters were responsible for the deaths of approximately 29 of his supporters during the campaign.

The APC has denied these allegations, counter-claiming that thugs linked to Adeleke killed more than 20 of their supporters. Despite the violence and conflicting accusations, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner.

Fayose also raised concerns regarding election spending, citing claims that the APC spent N60 billion and the Accord Party spent N40 billion. He argued that the combined N100 billion spent on the election could have been better utilized to support the citizenry.
