Isaac Fayose criticizes President Tinubu over economic hardship

Isaac Fayose, a Nigerian businessman and brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has issued a scathing critique of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration via social media.

In a viral video, Fayose used sarcasm to claim that Tinubu is the only president to successfully unite the country, arguing that Nigerians are instead “united in poverty and sadness.” He suggested that the widespread economic hardship has created a shared struggle among citizens. Fayose further urged Nigerians to use this collective economic vulnerability as a tool for political change, calling for citizens to “free yourself.”

Fayose also criticized Nigerians living in the United Kingdom who support the current administration, questioning why they remain abroad if the country is performing well. He highlighted the nation's medical challenges, claiming that the President himself requires frequent travel abroad for medical treatment and fresh air. Additionally, Fayose stated that approximately 71 percent of the population has fallen into poverty.
