Isaac Go leads Ginebra to victory over San Miguel Beer

Isaac Go delivered a standout performance off the bench to help Barangay Ginebra San Miguel secure a 104-95 Game 1 victory against San Miguel Beer in their Governors’ Cup best-of-5 quarterfinal series.

Go contributed 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including two three-pointers, while adding four rebounds and a block. His performance was instrumental in helping the Ginebra defense limit nine-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo to just three points on 1-of-6 shooting.

Go credited his preparation for facing Fajardo’s physicality to practicing against import Jordan Murphy. Assistant coach Richard del Rosario noted that while Go may not be the most athletic player, his ability to use his intelligence to follow the game plan provided a significant lift to the team.
