Isaac Newton's biblical calculations point to 2060
Isaac Newton, the scientist renowned for formulating the laws of motion and universal gravitation, used biblical prophecy to calculate a significant turning point for humanity in the year 2060.
Stephen Snobelen, director of the Canadian Newton Project, explains that Newton's approach was rooted in his religious belief that the Bible was divine revelation. Newton viewed prophetic texts as histories of future events, though he noted they were written in highly symbolic language requiring careful interpretation.
Contrary to common misconceptions, Newton did not predict the end of the world or total destruction. Instead, he viewed 2060 as the conclusion of one era and the beginning of a new one, potentially involving a thousand-year kingdom on Earth. He did, however, warn that the period leading up to this transition would be marked by wars and catastrophes.
