Isaah Yeo delays pectoral surgery to pursue World Cup and premiership

Penrith Panthers lock Isaah Yeo has decided to delay surgery for a ruptured pectoral muscle to remain available for the upcoming World Cup and his club's postseason.

Yeo sustained the injury during a tackle against the New Zealand Warriors last month. While pectoral surgery typically requires at least 10 weeks of recovery, Yeo is attempting to play through the injury without painkillers. He expressed that he chose to wait after a surgeon suggested a four-week window to see if the injury would settle.

In addition to Yeo's injury update, attention remains on teammate Nathan Cleary, who is managing a foot injury ahead of the Panthers' preliminary final against Newcastle this Sunday.
