Isabel Díaz Ayuso to publish first memoir ‘Íntimo’ on December 2

Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the President of the Community of Madrid, will publish her first book of memoirs, titled ‘Íntimo’, on December 2. Published by Editorial Planeta, the work is described as a reflection on the personal and political stories that have shaped her ideology.

The book covers her life from her childhood in Chamberí and Sotillo de la Adrada to her current role in government. It is expected to include personal photographs and address various aspects of her journey, including her studies, political campaigns such as ‘Comunismo o libertad’, her stance on anti-nationalism, and her management of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ayuso intends to discuss both professional milestones and dramatic personal episodes, including a 2023 abortion. She noted that the writing process was aided by a recent move and revisiting significant locations, even as she witnessed forest fires in the western sierra of Madrid and Ávila during the summer.
