Isabel Díaz Ayuso warns of electoral census concerns

Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid, has issued a warning regarding mail-in voting ahead of the general elections scheduled for November 29. During an event organized by the Nueva Economía Fórum, Ayuso expressed concerns regarding the integrity of the electoral census.

She suggested that the People's Party (PP) will maintain strict vigilance against potential census adulteration. Ayuso specifically pointed to the Democratic Memory Law of 2022, which allows descendants of Spanish exiles to acquire nationality, as a potential source of concern regarding the registration of Spanish citizens residing abroad (CERA) in the electoral census.

While Ayuso raised these political concerns, no evidence of fraud related to these specific issues has been substantiated by judicial or administrative resolutions. Her comments come amid intensified electoral scrutiny by the center-right ahead of the upcoming elections.
