Isabel Lahuerta launches new novel and expands cultural work in Spain

Isabel Lahuerta Bellido, a Spanish lawyer with a doctorate in law, is also a writer, filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist. Her short story "Sí, quiero" appeared in the collective volume *Tengo algo que decirte* and she adapted it into a short film that earned nominations at festivals in New York, India, Argentina, Mexico, Poland and Spain, culminating in a Hollywood presentation in 2023.

Lahuerta served as vice‑president of the Academy of Film of Aragón until 2023 and is now a member of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España and the Association of Spanish Film Directors. She is working on an ambitious literary trilogy that examines manipulation and the search for truth. Her debut novel *Lo que la mentira alimenta* (Grupo Planeta, 2024) received a master‑seal distinction and has been showcased at book fairs in Spain, the United States and numerous Spanish‑speaking countries. The forthcoming second volume, *El resplandor de la verdad*, will explore themes such as coercion, santería and historic events like the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Beyond her creative output, Lahuerta advocates for female entrepreneurship, previously serving as secretary‑general of ARAME, and is a frequent commentator in specialized media, continuing to build a personal brand centered on truth, culture and free thought.
