Isabel López Elvira wins world championship in blind rifle shooting

Isabel López Elvira, an 18-year-old Spanish shooter, has been crowned world champion in standing rifle shooting for the blind at the World Championships in Changwon, South Korea. Achieving a score of 227.1 points in the final, López Elvira secured the gold medal alongside her guide, Toñi Ibáñez.

Polish athlete B. Rutkowski took the silver medal with 219 points, while Spain’s Sonia Rivero earned the bronze with 202.2 points. This victory marks a significant milestone for López Elvira, who began her shooting career less than two years ago.

López Elvira expressed her joy following the competition, stating that the title fulfills a major career dream and serves as motivation to continue her training and passion for the sport.
