Isabel Pantoja loses tax lawsuits, 700 k€ debt upheld

Spain's Audiencia Nacional dismissed Isabel Pantoja's appeals against the tax assessments for the 2009 and 2010 personal income tax (IRPF) periods, confirming Hacienda's sanctions. The court upheld a debt of more than €700,000, comprising €438,045.20 for 2009 and €264,978.75 for 2010, which the singer’s team says were already included in a previously recognised liability. Pantoja’s representatives stated the amount is secured by other assets and announced the appointment of a new legal team. The artist may still file a cassation appeal before the Supreme Court. The case stems from her use of two patrimonial companies to channel earnings at lower declared values, a practice that previously led to a money‑laundering conviction.

The ruling adds to a long series of fiscal disputes involving the popular Spanish singer, but the debt is not being increased; it merely confirms amounts previously disclosed by the tax authority.
