Isabella Tovaglieri proposes remigration plan to Lega Congress
European MEP Isabella Tovaglieri, alongside parliamentarians Elena Maccanti, Andrea Dara, and Elena Murelli, has submitted a motion to the Lega federal congress titled ‘A Plan for Remigration’. The motion, which has gathered signatures from approximately one hundred delegates, seeks to place migration management and integration at the center of the party's political agenda.
The proposed measures include the revocation of citizenship for individuals convicted of serious crimes, such as looting and devastation, as well as the revocation of residence permits in cases of misconduct. Additionally, the plan suggests implementing measures to prevent the formation of ethnic ghettos and providing incentives for voluntary repatriation to countries of origin.
Tovaglieri argued that recent unrest in various cities has highlighted failures in integration among second-generation immigrants. She stated that a serious and organic plan for remigration is necessary to defend European values and civilization against customs deemed incompatible with local traditions.
