Isabelle Drummond reprises Emília role for Criança Esperança

Actress Isabelle Drummond will return to the role of Emília during the ‘Show da Esperança’, a special broadcast marking the end of the 2026 Criança Esperança campaign on TV Globo. This marks her first time portraying the rag doll character on television in nearly two decades, following her original run between 2001 and 2007 in ‘Sítio do Picapau Amarelo’.

Drummond expressed deep emotional connection to the role, stating, “Emília is part of me.” The special, hosted by Lázaro Ramos, will utilize elements of traveling theater and storytelling. The production also features Ravel Andrade as ‘Carimbador Maluco’ and Evelyn Castro as ‘Cuca’.

Separately, in the fictional context of the telenovela ‘Além do Tempo’, the character Emília awakens from a coma following a serious accident. This plot development leads to a reconciliation attempt with the character Vitória and a marriage proposal from Bernardo.
