Isabelle Drummond to reprise role as Emília for Criança Esperança

Actress Isabelle Drummond will reprise her role as Emília for the ‘Show da Esperança’, a special program concluding the 2026 Criança Esperança campaign. This marks her return to the character 19 years after her original portrayal in ‘Sítio do Picapau Amarelo’ between 2001 and 2007.

The special, scheduled to air on October 12 for Children's Day, is designed as a symphonic fable blending music and literature. Lázaro Ramos will perform as the ‘Guardião das Histórias’ (Guardian of Stories) in a magical library setting. In the narrative, Emília will assist the Guardian in unmasking a villain, the Cuca, played by Evelyn Castro.

The event aims to evoke childhood nostalgia, a theme that also includes a special edition of ‘TV Globinho’. Other musical performers for the show include Sandy, Gilberto Gil, Flor Gil, Michel Teló, Gaby Amarantos, and Péricles. The Criança Esperança campaign will primarily utilize Pix for donations.
