Swedish volleyball star Isabelle Haak is returning to top form as Sweden prepares for the European Championship knockout stages in the Czech Republic. Two years ago, Haak suffered from burnout syndrome due to an intense schedule of club and national team commitments, which forced her to step away from the sport.

Her mother, Anita Haak, praised her daughter’s openness regarding her mental health struggles, noting that her transparency may help others in similar situations. Haak, who plays for the Italian club Imoco Volley Conegliano, has worked to find better life balance through personal interests and a more stable routine. Sweden is set to face the host nation, the Czech Republic, in the round of 16.
