Isack Hadjar faces mechanical failures at Singapore Grand Prix

Isack Hadjar experienced a series of mechanical setbacks during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend while driving for Red Bull. The issues began during the Sprint race when his power unit failed on the third lap, forcing an early retirement.

Following the Sprint, the team replaced his power unit with an older model, but further complications arose during qualifying. A gearbox failure prevented him from setting a lap time, and he faced additional frustration when stewards required him to perform specific engine and clutch maneuvers with a malfunctioning car for weighing procedures.

Despite these obstacles, Hadjar managed to start the Grand Prix from the pit lane and recovered to finish in 10th place, securing a single point. Team boss Laurent Mekies described the weekend as “horrific,” noting that the technical failures prevented the driver from demonstrating his competitive pace.
