Isack Hadjar injury forces driver changes at Dutch Grand Prix

Formula 1 driver Isack Hadjar was forced to miss the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort after sustaining a wrist fracture during a training session in the summer break. The injury triggered a series of driver substitutions within the Red Bull family of teams.

Liam Lawson stepped in to replace Hadjar at Red Bull Racing, securing a seventh-place finish and earning six points. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda was recalled from a holiday in Greece to drive for Racing Bulls, finishing eleventh. Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer noted that the team followed established procedures to manage the sudden change, which included getting Tsunoda into the simulator as quickly as possible.

Hadjar, who expressed frustration at missing his first race weekend due to injury, observed the event from the pits. He is reportedly optimistic about a recovery and aims to return for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Red Bull is currently preparing Lawson to remain available as a backup should Hadjar's recovery take longer than expected.
