Isack Hadjar to miss Spanish Grand Prix due to injury

Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar will miss the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid as he continues to recover from a wrist injury. The 21-year-old Frenchman sustained a hairline fracture during a boxing training session during the Formula 1 summer break.

This marks the third consecutive race Hadjar has missed, following the Dutch and Italian Grands Prix. Red Bull team boss Laurent Mekies stated that the decision to keep Hadjar out of the cockpit is based on ensuring he returns at 100% capacity to avoid delaying his full recovery. Mekies noted that while the recovery is progressing as planned, the team will use the upcoming break before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix to evaluate his readiness via simulator testing.

Liam Lawson will step in to replace Hadjar for the third straight weekend. Lawson previously finished seventh in Zandvoort and faced challenges in Monza due to front-wing contact. As Lawson moves up to the main Red Bull seat, Yuki Tsunoda will fill the vacancy at Racing Bulls.
