Isak Andic death investigation: 33 witnesses scheduled to testify

A new phase of the judicial investigation into the death of Mango founder Isak Andic has begun. Judge Raquel Nieto in Martorell has scheduled 33 witnesses to testify between October 26 and November 23 to determine if there is sufficient evidence to bring his son, Jonathan Andic, to trial for homicide.

Isak Andic died on December 14, 2024, after falling into a ravine during an excursion in Montserrat. While the defense argues the death was an accident caused by the businessman's knee osteoarthritis, prosecutors are investigating a potential economic motive related to inheritance disputes.

Key witnesses include Mango CEO Toni Ruiz, executive Daniel López, and Grupo Planeta president José Creuheras. Other scheduled testimonies include detective Francisco Marco Fernández and associates of the family's therapist, Julia Lüderwaldt. Jonathan Andic remains under investigation and was previously released on a one million euro bail.
