ISANA Joint Stock Company accused of durian debt in Dak Lak
ISANA Joint Stock Company is facing allegations of failing to pay durian farmers in Dak Lak province for the 2025 harvest season. Reports indicate that over 30 households in Ea Knuếc commune and surrounding areas are owed tens of billions of VND.
One farmer, Le Thi Phượng, reported that despite delivering 15.6 tons of durian valued at over 1 billion VND under a contract promising higher-than-market prices, the company has only paid a portion of the total, leaving a debt of 644 million VND.
Additionally, a former branch sales director in Dak Lak, Ms. N.T.T.H., has come forward stating she is also a victim. She reported that she is unable to recover funds owed for durian purchased through her connections with the company. The company's leadership, including General Director Dang Duy Hung and Factory Director Mai Van Tuan, were involved in the initial procurement agreements.
