ISCS President highlights social returns on sports investment
Beniamino Quintieri, president of the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo e Culturale (ISCS), emphasized the high social returns associated with investing in sports and culture. Speaking at a press conference regarding the construction of a new gym and football field at the Rebibbia prison in Rome, Quintieri noted that these sectors often suffer from inadequate investment due to low economic yields.
The ISCS participated in a 200,000 euro fundraising effort for the Rebibbia facility. Quintieri highlighted the importance of mobilizing private capital to support smaller, local investments and the rehabilitation of community structures, noting that such projects often struggle to secure traditional bank financing due to a lack of guarantees.
