Iscte leads Portuguese business schools in Financial Times MBA rankings
Portugal has achieved its strongest performance to date in the Financial Times Executive MBA 2026 rankings, with three national programs placing in the global top 100.
Iscte Executive Education has taken the lead in Portugal, rising 26 positions from the previous year to reach 55th place globally. This marks the highest ranking ever achieved by a single Portuguese program in this category. José Crespo de Carvalho, president of Iscte Executive Education, noted that the climb from 81st in 2025 to 55th in 2026 represents a significant milestone for the institution.
Other Portuguese institutions also secured top-tier positions. The Lisbon MBA consortium (a partnership between Católica and Nova SBE) consolidated its standing at 71st place, while Porto Business School rose 13 positions to reach 82nd.
On the international stage, the Kellogg/HKUST alliance reclaimed the top spot, surpassing the previous leader, the WashU-Fudan program, which fell to 8th place.
