Iselin Michelsen withdraws from 71 grader nord reality series

Iselin Michelsen has voluntarily withdrawn from the reality television competition ‘71 grader nord – Norges tøffeste kjendis’ during the eighth episode. Her decision came after her team, Team Nordkapp, lost a stage, which would have forced her into an elimination match against Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen alongside teammates Dag-Inge Ulstein and Cathrine Fossum.

Michelsen stated that her departure was a deliberate choice intended to protect her fellow contestants from elimination. She expressed a desire to see her teammates continue in the competition.

Following her exit, Michelsen revealed that the decision was influenced by personal struggles with anxiety. She explained that living outdoors for nine days without access to makeup triggered psychological distress stemming from childhood bullying related to her appearance. She noted the difficulty of being on camera without cosmetics, stating, ‘I have a problem with going without makeup in front of a lot of people I don’t really know. And especially when it’s going on TV.’
