Iserlohn Guitar Festival and Niederrhein Music Festival Announce Summer Concert Programs

Germany’s cultural calendar this summer features two major music festivals. The 34th International Guitar Festival in Iserlohn runs from July 26 to August 1, 2026, offering evening concerts in the Oberste Stadtkirche, free midday performances at the Sparkasse‑Kundenhalle on July 29‑30, and a public final of the 15th International Guitar Competition on July 31.

The 22nd Niederrhein Music Festival will take place from August 23 to October 4, 2026, with concerts and workshops in venues across Düsseldorf, Mönchengladbach, Jüchen, Kaarst and Nettetal. Its opening concert, “Sound Stories,” is scheduled for August 23 in the courtyard of Schloss Dyck and features block‑flutist Stefan Temmingh, harpist Margret Koell and a program spanning Bach to Piazzolla. The festival organizers are offering a ticket giveaway for this inaugural performance.

Both events aim to attract local and international audiences, showcasing a mix of classical, jazz, and contemporary repertoire.
