Iserlohn: Three police officers injured during rescue operation

Three police officers were injured in Iserlohn, Germany, during a rescue operation for a 14-year-old girl who was seriously injured in an apartment on Elisabethstraße. Police currently believe the girl's injuries were caused by an accident.

As officers cordoned off the area to allow the girl to be transported to a hospital, a 46-year-old resident refused to respect the perimeter. After several warnings, the man reportedly insulted and attacked an officer. The situation escalated during his arrest, resulting in injuries to two female officers and one male officer. Two of the officers sustained injuries so severe that they are no longer fit for duty.

A 41-year-old man who attempted to assist the suspect was briefly detained and then ordered to leave the scene. The 46-year-old suspect is in custody and faces investigation for resistance and physical assault against law enforcement officers.
