Isernia cemetery expands with new burial niches and loculi

In Isernia, the development of a new funerary building is progressing. This follows the completion of sixty new burial niches and sixty loculi at the municipal cemetery on Via Marconi.

The new construction replaces older aluminum structures that were decommissioned due to overheating issues. The new loculi feature specialized ventilation systems and sealed PVC interiors to prevent similar problems.

To manage capacity, a portion of the new spaces will be reserved for emergency use to prevent remains from being held in mortuaries during construction delays in other areas. Additionally, one row of the new construction is intended for citizens in financial hardship.
