Ishaan Gupta hosts origami exhibition in Delhi
Ishaan Gupta, a 14-year-old student from The Mother’s International School, hosted a three-day origami exhibition titled ‘An Origami Odyssey’ at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi from September 25 to 27.
The exhibition showcased six years of creative development that began during the 2020 pandemic. Gupta’s work includes tessellations, geometric forms, animal figures, wall art, and sculptures. His interest in the medium is rooted in the intersection of art, mathematics, and design, with a particular focus on complex, pattern-based tessellations and intricate animal models.
Inaugurated by architect and artist Ankon Mitra, the event included an interactive workshop for visitors and children, including participants from the India Vision Foundation. A portion of the funds raised through the initiative is designated for donation to an NGO.
