Ishak Chandra releases book detailing 33-year business journey

Ishak Chandra, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Triniti Land, has released a new book titled ‘Bermain di Papan Besar’ (Playing on a Large Board). The book serves as a reflection on his 33-year professional and business journey, detailing his transition from significant financial setbacks to leading a company to its listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Chandra’s narrative includes overcoming the 1997-1998 economic crisis, which resulted in the loss of most of his assets, as well as personal experiences with fraud and the loss of an inheritance. The book outlines his career progression, beginning as a management trainee at Astra International in 1991, followed by roles at Soewarna Business Park and Sinar Mas Land, before co-founding Triniti Land.

Structured into 30 chapters and seven sections, the book covers themes of leadership, decision-making, and navigating professional uncertainty. Chandra stated that his primary motivation for writing the book was to share his experiences and provide a blueprint for others, rather than simply recounting a success story.
