Ishan Kishan ruled out of second T20I against New Zealand

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the second T20I against New Zealand due to a low-grade right adductor strain. The injury was sustained during the first T20I in Christchurch, which India won by four wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

BCCI medical teams are currently monitoring Kishan's progress. India's batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak, confirmed that the injury had already impacted the team's strategy during the opening match, where Kishan was moved down the batting order to number five to accommodate Tilak Varma at number three.

Kishan's absence may provide an opportunity for 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to make his debut. If Sooryavanshi is included in the playing XI, it could trigger further changes to the top order, potentially requiring Sanju Samson to move from his opening role to number three.
